Professor
Grzegorz W. Kolodko -- a key architect of Polish reforms -- is a renowned economist
and a world expert on transition and development policy. While Deputy Premier
and Minister of Finance (1994-97) he led Poland to the OECD. Holding the same
positions again in 2002-03 he played an important role in Poland's integration
with the European Union. In 1989 he was participating in the historical Polish
Round Table, which led to the first post-communist government in East Central
Europe. In 1989-91 he was the member of Economic Council of the Government.
A graduate and Ph.D. of Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), he is currently Director
of TIGER - Transformation, Integration and Globalization Economic Research (www.tiger.edu.pl)
and professor at the Kozminski University in Warsaw (ALK).
The United Nations, IMF and the World Bank have sought Professor
Kolodko expertise. He has accepted invitations for visiting professorships at
Yale, UCLA and the University of Rochester, New York, as well as research fellowships
and lectures at academic institutions and organizations worldwide.
He is the author of over 40 books and over 400 articles and research papers that are published in 25 languages around the globe, of which a majority is available in English.
Professor Kolodko is a marathon runner and world traveler who has explored over 140 countries.

Resident Scholar at TIGER, Assistant Professor of Economics at Kozminski University and Senior Economist at the World Bank in Warsaw. Former Chief Economist of PKO BP, the largest bank in Poland (2008). Economist in the European Department and Advisor to Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund in Washington D.C (2004-08). Advisor to Poland's Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance (2002-03). Ph.D. degree in Economics from Kozminski University and M.A. in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics. Economic commentator and columnist in Polish and international media, including Financial Times and the Economist. Research interests: global economy, fiscal policy, information society, foreign policy.

of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), specialisation: International Trade and
Polititian Affairs. From year 2001 to 2004 she was a PhD candidate at Research
Team to Baltic Countries Economies, at the Department of World Economy, SGH, Warsaw.
In 2003 she finished her Ph.D. studies and in 2004 defended her doctoral thesis
