Palgrave Macmillan has published new book by Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko entitled „Whither the World: The Political Economy of the Future”. The work is released in two parts:  Vol. I and Vol. II. Let’s mention that the pictures at the both volumes covers are also made by Professor Kolodko.

The Ukrainian edition of Professor Kolodko's book "Truth, Errors, and Lies: Politics and Economics in a Volatile World" is already the tenth language in which the book is available. The book is translated in Farsi (contemporary Persian) and so far has been published in English, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Polish, Ukrainian, Turkish, Vietnamese, and Hungarian. All together over 100 thousand copies have been sold worldwide.

The Chinese edition of Professor Kolodko's international bestseller „Whither the World: the Political Economy of the Future" (Palgrave Macmillan, Houndmills & Basingstoke, Hampshire 2014, vol. I 224 pp. & vol. II 226 pp.), entitled „Shi Jie Qu Xiang He Fang: Wei Lai De Zheng Zhi Jing Ji Xue” (Foreign Languages Press, Pekin 2015, 328 pp.), is already the fifth language in which the book has been published. The other languages are Polish, „Dokąd zmierza świat. Ekonomia polityczna przyszłości" (Prószyński i S-ka, Warszawa 2013, 448 pp.), Russian, „Kuda idiot mir. Politiczeskaja ekonomija buduszczego" (Izdatielstwo Magistr, Moskwa 2014,  528 pp.), and Romanian, „Incotro se indreapta lumea. Economia politica a viitorului" (Editura Polirom, Bucharest 2015, 328 pp).

The TIGER Director, Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko, concludes the working year with the participation in panel debate on “The Economic Future of Poland after 2020. What Will Drive Development When the European Financial Sources Will Dry?” at the Industrial Forum. The event, which takes place in Karpacz, is organized the Institute of Eastern Studies.

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries and China Foundation for International Studies (CFIS) jointly organize the Third High-Level Symposium of Think Tanks of China and Central and Eastern European Countries on “From Suzhou Onwards: Think Tank Exchanges in Support of 16+1 Cooperation”.
Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko takes a part in the debate with a keynote speech on “New Pragmatism and the Way Forward for China and East Central Europe Co-operation”.

Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko has been invited by the Board of Directors of the World Forum for Ethics in Business to speak at the 11th International Leadership Symposium on Ethics in Business. The Symposium looks at complementary measures of performance of public and private institutions that encompass both economic success and social wellbeing. The conference on "The Double Bottom Line - How rich we really are" is held at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Johnson School of Public Affairs of University of Texas, Austin, hosts a two-day conference on the "The Eurozone and The Americas: Debt and Democracy".  European and North and South American political leaders and policy experts  convenes to share ideas and to debate policy options. At the invitation of TIGER's Director, Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko, the Kozminski University is hosting Reverend Jesse Jackson, founder and president of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, a non-profit organization supporting social justice, civil rights and political activism. Jesse Jackson is one of foremost civil rights, religious and political figures. He will present the 24th  Kozminski University and TIGER Distinguished Lecture on the civil rights at the era of globalization.

TIGER is 15 years old! Due to the initiative of Professor  Grzegorz W. Kolodko the Transformation, Integration and Globalization Economic Research was established in 2000 by Professor Andrzej K. Kozminski, Rector of the Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management, LKAEM, now the Kozminski University. Professor Robert A. Mundell, the Nobel Prize winner in economics, has been nominated as Chairman of the TIGER Scientific Council.

July, 2015
A new book by prof. Marta Postuła entitled “Instrumenty zarządzania finansami publicznymi” („Instruments of public finances management”) was published by the Publishing House at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. The publication was reviewed by prof. Hanna Kuzińska from Kozminski University. In the reviewer’s opinion “(…) this book will certainly facilitate untangling the economic and legal significance of multiple issues, e.g. those concerned with the purpose behind the implementation of fiscal rules and manner in which they are applied, the need for operations carried out by independent fiscal  institutions, feasible medium-term and long-term planning, or the need to carry out reviews and assessment of public expenditures.”

Professor of SGGW and Kozminski Academy Piotr Zielonka will give a lecture on behavioral aspects of investing on the stock exchange. Professor Zielonka has published the book titled 'Psychology and the stock exchange' and is an active researcher in this field. The lecture will be on the possible threats for investors, various emotions, that influence every investor's decisions and will contain a part where professor will present new research results.

II), the Director of TIGER makes his USA Book Tour 2015. On the route of the tour are lectures and seminars at the World Bank and Wilson Center in Washington, DC, University of Chicago and Kellog School of Management, University of California in Los Angeles, Berkeley and Stanford at the West Coast, and Columbia University in New York.
